wooly

Meet the team & our chief advisory board

woolyai.app
A shared family memory, in every AI you already use.

Why we built it

We built Wooly because we kept forgetting the same things everyone else forgets.

Wooly started as a family problem before it was a company. One person always ends up holding everything — the appointments, the passwords, the allergy, the credit the insurance company promised on the phone. Everyone else means well and still has to ask.

We're a family and a couple of best friends who have been in each other's lives since the photographs above were taken. Between us there are households, kids, a dog, a grandmother whose kitchen is the centre of everything, and a group chat that has never once been an adequate filing system.

So we built the thing we wanted: a memory the whole family shares, living inside the apps everyone already opens, that nobody has to be talked into using. Say it once, and everyone's AI knows.

We are not a big company, and that is rather the point. Your family's memory is held by people building this for their own families too — and who would rather tell you plainly what Wooly does and doesn't do than dress it up.

The team

Everyone who has a hand in it

Small on purpose. You can reach any of us by writing to hello@woolyai.app — a person reads it.

Drew

Drew

Founder

Built the first version because he was tired of being the one who remembered.

Griffin

Griffin

Chief Technology Officer

Builds the part that has to be right: your family's memory, and who can see it.

Mom

Mom

Carried the whole household in her head for years, so nobody else has to.

Grandma

Grandma

Chair of the board

Her kitchen is where the family keeps everything. Wooly is the software version.

Sister

Sister

First to say so when something doesn't make sense, which is most of why it does.

Friends

Friends

Test everything against a real household before it goes near yours.

Friends

Friends

Keep us honest about what a family will actually put up with.

Zoey

Zoey

Chief Security Officer

Contributes nothing to the codebase and guards the house anyway.

What we hold ourselves to

Four things, and we'd rather be judged on them.

WarmBuilt for households, by a household. Never clinical, never corporate.
TrustworthyPrivate by design. Your family owns its memory and can take it back.
ClearPlain language, no jargon. If we can't explain it simply, we haven't finished it.
EffortlessIt works in the background. If it becomes a chore, we've failed.

Come and be one of the
first families.
